SINCHANA- AN INTER-SCHOOL CULTURAL FIESTA (2007-2016)

Sinchana” is a first of its kind event aimed at encouraging and promoting Kannada culture and literature among school students in Karnataka through an outstanding inter-school fest. Since the year 2006 -07, LXL Ideas, Learning Society and Akshaya Pathra Foundation have been trying their best to empower the children studying in BBMP, Government and Government Aided Schools through innovative programs, with the focus of making these children aware of the society and the role they play in its construction.

In 2016, COLOURS OF LIFE in association with LXL Ideas launched an event called COLOURS OF LIFE SINCHANA.

The primary aim of Colours of Life Sinchana was to motivate the children and provide them opportunities to express their talents. The Event focuses on increasing the Self Esteem and Self-identification of the Government School Children who rarely get opportunities to exhibit their talent on a large platform.

Features of the event

  • Pioneering programmes

    This Event is for students from Std. 5th to 10th. It provides a wonderful opportunity for students to participate, perform witness, cheer, have fun, and above all, learn & grow as individuals and become part of the responsible world. The event includes fun filled competitions like Group Dance, Singing, Quiz, Public Speaking (Extempore), Painting, Essay writing, Mehendi design, Fancy Dress, Teacher Talent & Face painting, held specially for children.

  • Exceptional awards

    Colours of Life Sinchana believes in consistency of joy and excitement in children; with this view point, exceptional awards such as Best Cheering School, Best Teacher Coordinator, Best Participated School, Best Dressed School, Best Disciplined School, Overall Championship Award & Best Dressed Teacher are awarded to the participatory groups. This is an additional award for the participatory groups to keep them motivated.

  • Rewards and appreciation

    Rewards and appreciation are the main things that boosts confidence and motivation for the kids. They are incentives given to uphold children’s excitement and vigor to achieve more. Hence, all the Winners, runners-up & 2nd runner’s up in each competition are given Appreciation Trophies. Other than this all Participants are given Participation certificates in order to acknowledge the fact that participation or trying is more important than winning.

  • Special guests

    Colours of Life Sinchana have a culture of encouraging celebrities and popular personalities to take part in the event. In order to make the event more alluring and successful, Special Guests are invited to the Event to witness the event. Remarkably, there has been a good response received from all the celebrities who experienced the event on ground.

  • Colours of Life Sinchana Recognition

    In the past, Sinchana has been successful in achieving the EEMA Award in the year 2009 for its excellence in organizing an outstanding event. This can be said as one of the most successful attributes of Sinchana along with the huge responses from the Education officers, Participatory schools and popular personalities who witnessed the programme. This inspires the team to get larger and better outcomes for the future and aims to reach more than 50000 children across the state. Currently the event has wide reach of over 450,000 students from 1,500 schools across 6 districts of Karnataka.
